4D/3N Tour Package's Itinerary (With Isabella Is.)

Day 1. - Transfer-in

Visit to Santa Cruz' highlands- Twins Lunch at Primicias' Ranch Santa Cruz' highlands
The Highlands of Santa Cruz offer a lush contrast to the beaches and arid lowlands. With one of our Naturalist Guides as your escort you will visit some of the highlights of the 'Parte Alta'. A stop at the twin craters Los Gemelos is one of the first stops on your highlands tour. A visit to the farms provides the opportunity to marvel at the celebrated Giant Galapagos Tortoise roaming in its natural habitat. You can also explore a cavernous underground Lava Tunnel where you can view one of the geological wonders of our volcanic islands.

Twins

Los Gemelos are two enormous sinkholes near the summit of the island, formed when the roofs of empty magma chambers collapsed. They are sur¬rounded by lush green vegetation and are close to the road with very easv access via a dirt path. Walk around the craters, but be careful. You might catch sight of the startlingly bright red vermilion flycatcher and will surely see Darwin's finches. There is only a thin wooden rail at the edge of the crater, so don't let anyone back up too much when shooting pho¬tos. Individuals not on a tour can get here by taking the main cross¬island road about 12k (7-l/2mi) west of Bellavista to Santa Rosa village, then continuing another 2k (lmi) to the sinkholes.

Day 2.- Charles Darwin's Station ; Departure to Isabella Island.

Visit Flamingo Lagoon & Tortoise Breeding Center Flamingo Lagoon & Tortoise

Breeding Center:
Take a quick ride to visit an expansive coastal lagoon that serves as one of the primary breeding grounds for flamingos. Next, become intimately acquainted with the giant (and not so giant) Galapagos tortoises as we visit the Tortoise Breeding Center on Isabela. This preserve houses Galapagos tortoises in all sizes and stages of development. Learn about the intensive efforts underway to help repopulate the islands with these majestic creatures.

Day 3. - Isabella's tour: Visit Sierra Negra's volcano-Bay's tour

Sierra Negra's volcano:
Sierra Negra is one of five volcanos on the island of Isabela, and boasts the second largest volcanic caldera in the world. On the Sierra Negra Volcano Tour you hike to the top of the six mile wide crater and take an exhilarating trek across the alien landscape. This is one of the younger and more active volcanoes in the Galapagos, with the last eruption in 1979. You'll have the opportunity to explore thermal vents and other fascinating geological structures before stopping for lunch near Volcan Chico. The vistas from this spot are among the most breathtaking in Isabela and on clear afternoons afford views of the northern volcanoes on Isabela and Fernandina.

Bay's tour:

This marine adventure will find you face to face with the aquatic wildlife that makes the Galapagos Islands internationally recognized. Tour participants will often find themselves snorkeling with penguins, white-tip sharks, sea turtles, colorful reef fish, and the most playful and delightful Galapagos native, the sea lion. A brief walking tour provides additional up close encounters with marine iguanas, resting white tip sharks, and sea lions.
